The Professional Alliance of Healers, Rootwork Practitioners & Spiritual Advisors

The Professional Alliance of Healers, Rootwork Practitioners, & Spiritual Advisors is a group of experienced Energy Healers, Psychic Readers, and practitioners of old-style spiritual Conjure, and Hoodoo* Rootwork.

Many, of the Energy Healers here are trained in the traditional Usui Reiki tradition. (See Reiki Information Page.) Some of us practice healing work that has been passed down to us through our family tradition, and are said to have "Healing Hands," and although these are not German, Pow Wow, or Hexenmeister practices, there are some similarities.

Our Rootwork Practitioners have either trained with old-time Conjure Workers, have at least 3 years experience working with Hoodoo & Conjure Style Rootwork, or both.  Some of us have studied with well-known practitioners, and also some very powerful "unknown" practitioners. Of note is that all of the Rootworkers here at the Alliance all have a professional level of experience. The requirements for one to become a Rootwork Practitioner, Healer, and/ or Spiritual Advisor within the Professional Alliance is to have at least 3 years experience working with the public in their area of expertise, to be able to demonstrate their level of skill for two of our fellow practitioners, and to demonstrate the ability to follow the level of commitment and responsibility that goes along with being a spiritual worker.

*Hoodoo is not a religion, it is a system of magic. Hoodoo, and the related terms of Conjure, Conjuration, & Rootwork, etc. are terms for the specific blend of African, Native American and German folk magic and conjure that make up this system of magical practice. Like many magical traditions, many of the practices were handed down by word of mouth. There are a few informational resources such as the hard to find, and phenomenally expensive 5 Volume Collection of Harry M. Hyatt's named: Hoodoo, Conjuration, Witchcraft, & Rootwork, which is a compilation of interviews, (most of which took place in the 1930's), of conjurers and rootworkers.  Another collection of interest containing diverse folklore, rootwork, & magic done by Hyatt prior to HCWR and published in 1935 was: Folklore from Adams County Illinois.

Deborah and Sharon are Certified Hoodoo Rootworkers that studied under cat yronwode. Having many students and clients of our own, we have now started The Professional Alliance of Rootwork Practitioners & Spiritual Advisors to provide a network of quality services to the public. Our small network of Practitioners are experienced, and certified in Spiritual and Rootwork practices.

Nancy is a gifted psychic with many years of experience.
